The MK-742DSL Silent Core utilizes an arrayed diamond pattern; the diamonds are effectively aligned so that each diamond is working in unison for maximum abrasion and material removal. It also has the benefit of having a Silent Sandwich Core. The Sandwich Core is manufactured with two steel cores laminated with a copper center that pr ovides the greatest sound reduction. The silent core also reduces vibration, which is beneficial to the operator’s safety and adds longevity to the blade life.
